FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method intended for connecting two round- section conductors, especially large-diameter (over 3 mm) aluminum ones to make current-conducting joint and also for connecting round-section power cables to round-section single-wire cores involves stripping insulation off ends to be joined together, tapping right-hand thread on one end and left-hand thread on other end, whereupon sleeve provided with mating threads is turned onto both ends. Joint obtained in this way does not reduce current-carrying capacity of power transmission line and its electric strength. Joint is easily assembled and disassembled. EFFECT: enhanced strength of joint formed by turning in the sleeve without turning conductors. 3 cl, 3 dwg
