FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: treatment of feedstock containing naphthenic acids is effected with alkoxylated amine and water under conditions, for a period of time, and at temperature sufficient for water-in-oil-type emulsion of amine salt to be formed. Indicated amine is selected from alkoxylated amines depicted by general formula A: , in which m+n=2 to 50 and R denotes linear or branched alkyl group C8-C20, and general formula B: in which x=1 to 3, y+x=2 to 6, and p+q=0 to 15, and A and B mixtures. Oil feedstock can be supplemented by oil feedstock distillates. Emulsion is separated into several layers, one of which contains spent oil feedstock with lowered level of organic acids and the others contain water and alkoxylated amine salt. EFFECT: enabled direct removal of non-converted naphthenic acids. 10 cl, 4 dwg, 7 ex
