STEAM SCREW MACHINE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2205962 C2

FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steam screw machines designed for producing mechanical power. Proposed steam screw machine contains driving and driven screw rotors installed in housing on bearings and being in constant engagement, intake hole made in housing and coupled with system delivering steam into space between rotors. Disk with ports opening into each tooth space of rotor is installed on end face of rotor. Ports are arranged for alternate alignment with intake hole when rotor is turned for creating nonstationary flow of steam. Disk with ports can be installed both, on end face of driving rotor and on end face of driven rotor. Steam delivering system contains additionally a resonance branch pipe. EFFECT: increased geometric expansion degree of machine. 4 cl, 4 dwg
