FIELD: power-plant mechanical engineering; wet steam separation. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal separator has vertical cylindrical case, steam- water mixture feed pipes tangentially joined to case, steam and water discharge pipes connected to top and bottom walls, respectively; steam discharge pipe is disposed inside case and its bottom edge is arranged below steam-water mixture feed pipe by at least 0.2 diameter of the latter and above bottom butt-end wall by at least case diameter; in addition diaphragm is installed on bottom end of steam discharge pipe, its outer edge being separated from case by annular peripheral radial clearance.
