FIELD: recovery of liquid radioactive wastes at nuclear industry plants by vitrifying them. SUBSTANCE: orthoboric acid is treated with alkali metal borate of periodic-system group I. Then treated orthoboric acid is dissolved in water and/or ethanediol 1.2 at temperature up to 100 C, and homogeneous boron-containing flux of high storage stability under normal conditions with boron concentration of up to 200 g/l is obtained. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture, simplified handling, enhanced safety in production and use. 1 cl, 1 tbl, 7 ex
