ENGINEERING COMPLEX FOR RADIOACTIVE AND TOXIC WASTE DISPOSAL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: recovery and disposal of radioactive wastes of chemical and nuclear processes. SUBSTANCE: engineering complex designed to dispose toxic and nuclear wastes by dipping them in openings formed in heterostructures has waste-holding container and outfit for accommodating in its housing mentioned container which is to be dipped in opening formed in geological structures. Complex is provided with surface-mounted installation that has through bore to receive mentioned outfit. The latter is made in the form of elongated hollow body and its housing accommodates working agent generator, compressed gas storage device, and programmable control unit. The latter is connected through control conductors to working agent generator and to compressed gas storage device. Outfit housing is provided with hollow working elements disposed on its butt-ends and fitted with nozzles installed in its walls. Cavities of working elements communicate with working-agent generator lines and with compressed gas storage device. Some nozzles have their axes positioned over longitudinal axis of outfit, at its butt-ends. Other part of nozzles is positioned at certain angle to diametric sectional plane of outfit housing. Pre-operation procedures are made individually for each component of complex. EFFECT: facilitated disposal procedure, reduced cost, enhanced environmental friendliness of entire disposal process. 7 cl, 8 dwg
