FIELD: methods of hole making with use for the process, mainly, self-contained drilling apparatus acting on medium to be broken by energy of working medium jets flowing under pressure from working member of said unit. SUBSTANCE: in realization of offered technology, acted on bottom hole rocks are complex loads of successively applied to bottom hole circular cumulative jets formed from fuel substance components consumed by pulses and supplied by portions to working member of drilling apparatus. In so doing, successively directed to bottom hole is cumulative circular jet whose circular axis is oriented to center of bottom hole. With preset delay, normally oriented jet is applied. Further on, supplied to bottom hole is circular cumulative jet whose axis is oriented to periphery of bottom hole, and said jet is limited over ring by circular jet of working member normally oriented to diametrical plane of bottom hole. In this case, axes of the first pair of jets are crossed in bottom hole rock structure and axes of the second pair of jets are crossed in rock structure as well. Places of application of both cumulative circular jets on plan of diametrical plane of bottom hole is selected to be coincided with consideration of time of application and advancing of bottom hole caused by successive action of such pair of jets, after which bottom hole is acted upon by oriented circular jets of working medium normally and at some angle to form hole walls.
