FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: liquid sulfur is freed of hydrogen sulfide and polysulfides at 135- 165 C in presence of perhydro(1,3,5-dioxazin-5-yl)alkanes as catalyst at stirring and simultaneous blowing of free sulfur surface with inert (for given system) gas. Method allows liquid sulfur to be purified for 5 to 20 min when 5 to 20 ppm catalyst based on the weight of liquid sulfur is used.
