FIELD: oil and gas industry; chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for purifying gases from hydrogen sulphide to obtain sulfur and can be used in oil and gas, oil refining and chemical industries. Plant includes a line for supply of hydrogen sulphide-containing gas, a steam heater of hydrogen sulphide-containing gas, an air supply line, wherein the hydrogen sulphide-containing gas supply line is divided into two lines after heating and mixing with the hydrogen sulphide-containing gas air, a catalytic reactor of direct oxidation of hydrogen sulphide to sulfur, installed on one line of hydrogen sulphide-containing gas and equipped with sulfur discharge line and oxidation products discharge line, catalytic reactor of hydrogen sulphide oxidation to sulfur dioxide, installed on another line of hydrogen sulphide-containing gas and equipped with a sulfur dioxide discharge line, and a reactor for carrying out catalytic reaction of hydrogen sulphide with sulfur dioxide, equipped with a liquid sulfur discharge line and an offgas discharge line. All reactors of the plant are equipped with a system for removing heat from the catalyst layer with coolant feed/discharge lines, which are connected to the thermosiphon type cooling device, which is combined with the steam heater and equipped with the balance coolant inlet/outlet lines.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the installation of processing gases containing hydrocarbons and reduces pollution of the environment.
