FIELD: method of electrochemical treatment of water and aqueous solutions; neutralization of alkali water. SUBSTANCE: neutralization is performed in specific- gravity electrolyzer where graphite is used as anode. Unipolar pulse voltage of rectangular or sinusoidal shape is fed to electrodes located at distance of 5-9 mm from each other; density of current in conducting the process shall be between 40 and 100 A/sq m. Proposed method ensures considerable reduction of power requirements for reducing pH to pH=7. EFFECT: reduction of power requirements by 2-4 times. 1 tbl, 1 ex
