FIELD: multifunctional coatings.
SUBSTANCE: production of graphite-based powder, which can be used as the main component of multifunctional coatings in rocket and space and aircraft industry, as well as in nuclear power, metallurgy, machine and instrument making, solar energy, in the production of semiconductors. A method is proposed for obtaining finely dispersed graphite powder by electrochemical lamination in a two-electrode cell at direct current in an electrolyte solution. As an electrolyte, aqueous solutions of inorganic bases 15÷25% of mass fraction. Graphite is used as the anode, and stainless steel as the cathode, to which a constant electric current is supplied after half-wave rectification at a uniform electric field strength of 40÷60 V/m and current density 43÷55 A/m2. The precipitated graphite powder is filtered, washed and dried.
EFFECT: obtaining of particles of graphite powder with a size of 0.001-0.05 mm with high uniformity without disturbing the crystal structure, and to reduce specific energy consumption.
