PROCESS OF INSULATION OF STRUCTURES EXPOSED TO MOISTURE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: civil engineering, formation of hydraulic insulation layer in brick wall of building to protect it against moisture attack. SUBSTANCE: process of insulation of structures exposed to moisture includes drilling of two rows of holes and filling of these holes. Holes of upper row are filled with water repelling solution and holes of lower row are slushed with building mortar, for instance, sand-cement mixture. Electrodes are installed in holes of upper row which are connected to one output terminal of power supply source and electric connection of building mortar is ensured with second terminal of power supply source. Power supply source is switched on and off as water repelling solution reaches building mortar. In the capacity of water repelling solution there is taken complex silicon organic compound presenting organosilicite composition with structure where R,R^I,R^II are end organic radicals of predominantly methyl groups. Power supply source is switched off with intermittent increase of electric current flowing between electrodes and building mortar. EFFECT: formation of hydraulic insulation layer with required quality of insulation with minimized consumption of water repelling solution and electric energy, raised productivity of hydraulic insulation operations. 2 cl, 1 dwg
