FIELD: powder rocket engines. SUBSTANCE: method involves formation of cylindrical part by multiple extrusion from round billet. Prior to extrusion points for holes are marked, structure of maraging steel billet is normalized by roasting it in predeformed state together with at least one reference specimen, mechanical properties of billet are estimated by mechanical damage to reference specimen, and in case of adequate result billet is lubricated. Each time after extrusion outer surface of billet is polished, end is trimmed, and markings are transferred to points on non-extruded part of billet. Upon multiple extrusion part obtained is flattened to thickness and length desired for engine case whereupon part is aged by heat treatment. EFFECT: reduced thickness and mass, enhanced mechanical properties of case. 3 cl
