FIELD: plastic metal working, namely production of ring blanks. SUBSTANCE: welded ring blanks with rectangular cross section of high alloys before warm rolling off are heated at 1150-1050 C, soaked at least 0.5 hour, cooled together with furnace until 1050-1000 C, soaked at least 0.5 hour, removed out of furnace and placed between rolls of mill. Heat rolling off is started at 1000-900 C. Such method provides possibility of making ring blanks of nonageing or weakly ageing refractory and heat resistant steels and nickel alloys with uniform normalized structure and stable high degree of mechanical properties not only of base metal but also of zone of welded joint. EFFECT: enhanced mechanical properties of blanks. 2 tbl
