Abstract RU 2206875 C2

FIELD: manufacture of rolled stock. SUBSTANCE: variable induction pickup is designed for installation on roller bed of coolers of small-section mills and is intended for control over position of front end of moving ferromagnetic rolled stock. Pickup includes -shaped ferromagnetic core with two pole pieces anchored on its upper part and three coils put on its vertical columns. Excitation coil is put on central column and compensation and operational coils connected in opposition are placed on two extreme columns. -shaped core is equipped with magnetic flux compensator in the form of ferromagnetic bolt screwed into body of vertical column located under secondary coil for movement towards central column of core. Employment of compensator enables sensitivity of pickup to be raised by an order and more. EFFECT: raised sensitivity of pickup. 2 dg
