FIELD: mechanical engineering, tests of leak-tightness of articles by liquid with employment of bubble method. SUBSTANCE: precision in measurement of summary leaks is provided according to this invention by employment of receiver which volume is selected on condition of ensured liberation of bubbles under allowable leak from article of known volume with preset error. Receiver is connected to tube of bubbler. Way is based on filling of receiver and bubbler with gas and on recording of gas bubbles released from tube of bubble These bubbles are used to make decision of tightness of article. Elastic vessel placed into gas chamber is linked to article prior to registration of gas bubbles, later chamber is joined to air space of bubbler. Article and elastic vessel are filled with liquid under test pressure simultaneously with filling of chamber with gas. EFFECT: increased precision in measurement of summary leaks. 1 dwg
