FIELD: shipbuilding; cargo vessels. SUBSTANCE: proposed smaller high-speed cargo vessel has hull, deck wheelhouse, engine compartment, deck guard and ramp in fore portion of vessel. Vessel is provided with unit for delivery and removal of ballast from hermetic reservoirs located in load-bearing hull which is made in form of wedge- shaped pontoons in longitudinal vertical section narrowing towards fore portion. Engines are located in engine compartment connected with aft portion of wheelhouse through hatch made in deck. Wheelhouse is combined with galley and WC forming single module.
