FIELD: hardening of parts, particularly, methods of hardening of parts from iron-carbon alloys applicable in mechanical engineering and in parts repair. SUBSTANCE: method includes hardening of brake disk, i.e., its two working surfaces. Local sections of surface are heated to form strips on disk surfaces located over spiral with strip width of 3-16 mm and with distance between spiral coils of 2- 10 mm.
