FIELD: aluminum electrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: in intensification of process of aluminum electrolytic production, process is conducted on electrolyzers with anode and current supplying pins in so doing, process parameters are monitored, anode current density is determined and increased. Use is made of electrolyzers with self-baking anode and side current supplying pins, and values of electrolyte temperature averaged for group of electrolyzers within 955 ±5C and voltage drop in interpole gap of 3.4 ±0.1 V are maintained. Current anode density is determined by relationship given in invention description. EFFECT: extended ranges of increase of anode current density and production efficiency of electrolyzer with maintained preset temperature range of electrolyte and voltage drop across interpole gap. 5 cl, 3 dwg, 2 tbl
