FIELD: production of aluminum by electrolysis of cryolite-alumina melt. SUBSTANCE: method includes control of current intensity and composition of cryolite-alumina electrolyte modified by additives of fluorides, and regulation of heat conditions of electrolyzers. For each 10 C increase of average monthly value of outside air temperature, current intensity is reduced by 0.2 ± 0.1% of rated value, content of lithium fluoride in electrolyze is increased by 0.2 ± 0.1 wt.% and excess of aluminum fluoride is reduced by 0.6 ± 0.2 wt.%. With dropping of outside air temperature, opposite in sign changing of current intensity and electrolyte composition are performed.
