FIELD: mechanical engineering; turbines. SUBSTANCE: proposed end seal is designed for fitting between neck of cylinder exhaust branch pipe and housing of outer bearing support. Seal contains horizontally split outer box with diaphragms dividing its space into sealing steam delivery chamber and steam-air mixture suck out chamber, and holder members coupled with support rings of diaphragms and carrying sections of sealing rings. Said holder members are made as pieces of one part with horizontal split over circumference of which two rows of slots are made to provide communication of sealed clearance with chambers of outer box. Seal on one of ends is made for connecting outer box to neck of exhaust branch pipe, and on other end, for connecting lower half of part, in which holder members are combined, with housing of outer bearing support of rotor, and holder members are coupled with support rings of diaphragms by radially flexible members. Such design of seal makes it possible to eliminate influence of deformation of exhaust branch pipe and difference in thermal expansions of said branch pipe and housing of bearing support onto size and form of sealed clearance being relatively simple and easy to manufacture when making and reconstructing the turbine.
