FIELD: mechanical engineering; turbines. SUBSTANCE: proposed end seal contains housing with horizontal split flanges, holders with horizontal split flanges installed in housing , steam delivery chamber and steam suck out chamber arranged between holders. Upper and lower chambers are made over and under horizontally split end seal housing at both side of turbine axis. One upper chamber communicates with delivery chamber through port in upper half-housing cover, and with lower chamber which communicates with steam supply pipeline, and through port in lower half of housing, with steam delivery chamber. Other upper chamber communicates with steam suck out chamber through port in upper half of housing, and with lower chamber communicating with steam suck out pipeline and, through port in lower half of housing, with steam suck out chamber, lower and upper chambers communicating through ports in housing horizontally split flanges. Such design of end seal provides reduction of circumferential non-uniformity of flow in steam delivery and suck out chambers, improved conditions of steam sucking out of seal and increased efficiency of seal operation with provision of possibility to reduce height of cover of seal housing. EFFECT: improved efficiency of seal in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
