FIELD: power engineering: thermal energy production. SUBSTANCE: proposed cavitator has inlet and outlet of at least one working channel communicating with source of working liquid, with working channel proper made with variable section in direction of liquid flow and provided with slotlike smallest section. Braking chamber for flow getting out of slot is installed at working chamber outlet. Geometric configuration of working slot channel and breaking chamber is made to provide relative intersection of flow current lines of liquid getting into braking chamber in said chamber. EFFECT: improved efficiency of cavitation processes. 8 cl, 8 dwg
