FIELD: devices for conversion of mechanical energy of liquid flow to heat energy by means of cavitation in liquid flow. SUBSTANCE: the cavitation-type heat generator with a booster pump feeding the liquid to a centrifugal atomizer has an axisymmetric braking chamber with a diameter exceeding the atomizer nozzle, and an end-face wall and a ring nozzle peripherally positioned at its outlet, variable in the section radius, outgoing to the drain chamber positioned round it, communicating with the booster pump. EFFECT: enhanced intensity of cavitation processes and heat release to the liquid, provided control of the heat release process, ensuring cavitationless operation of the booster pump. 11 cl, 4 dwg
