FIELD: heat engineering. SUBSTANCE: heater has heat-exchanger for utilizing waste gases of commercial fuel-combustion units. Heat- exchanger is made in the form of heat-exchanging surface disposed in individual casing and equipped with devices for supplying medium to be heated and for discharge of heated medium. Heater is further provided with regulating locking device for communicating heat-exchanger casing cavity through heating medium with gas duct for supplying part of or whole waste gas flow of commercial unit, and discharge gas pipe for connecting heat-exchanger casing cavity outlet through heating medium to smoke-stack. Heat-exchanger casing cavity in front of heat-exchanging surface at waste gas discharge side is communicated with ambient air through additional locking device.
