PICKUP OF POSITION OF TOOTH OF GEAR-WHEEL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology, facilities establishing rotational speed and angle of turn of elements of machines and mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: pickup has nonmagnetic case, permanent ring magnet. Magnetic circuit capable of moving along axis of magnet is put on case inside magnet. Magnetosensitive converter is mounted on case on side of butt of magnetic circuit. Pickup of position of tooth is located on side of rim of gear-wheel and indicates position of tooth in zone of magnetosensitive converter. Ring structure of permanent magnet makes it possible to form maximum gradient of magnetic field in zone of magnetosensitive converter with change of position of tooth and tooth space. Adjustment of pickup to various clearances and tooth geometry is possible independent of sensitivity of magnetosensitive converter due to presence of thread on magnetic circuit and its movement.
