FIELD: junction boxes for splicing factory lengths of cables laid in cable conduits, sewage headers, trenches, on walls of buildings. SUBSTANCE: junction box provided with enhanced number of branches has body with pipe connection for entering main cable; head with pipes connected to body and used to bring out branched-off cables; sealed splices of polyethylene-insulated copper conductors; and insulating sleeve mounted inside head. Head pipes are provided with conical holes wherein sheaths of branched-off cables are sealed. Conductor splices are disposed in sealing compound filled falsework made of film one of whose ends is secured on main cable sheath through sealed joint; other end is secured on outer surface of sleeve projection, at its first end, through sealed joint. At least two layers of PVC tape are formed on top of falsework. Screens of main and branched-off cables are restored by means of insulated copper wire disposed inside falsework and connected to screen connectors installed on alumina-polyethylene sheaths of main and branched-off cables. Body-to-head joint and joint between body pipe connection and main cable are sealed. As an alternative second end of falsework film is secured through sealed joint on external surface of head projection provided at its second end.
