FIELD: motor-car electronics; vehicle generators. SUBSTANCE: synchronous- generator voltage regulator has measuring section; reference voltage supply connected between plus and minus conductors of regulator; comparison circuit whose inputs are connected to outputs of reference voltage supply and measuring section; arcing rate sensor; frequency comparator whose input is coupled with output of arcing rate sensor; AND circuit whose first input is coupled with frequency comparator output and second input, with comparison circuit output; controlled multivibrator; power transistor; inductance coil; diode, and capacitor; controlled multivibrator input is coupled with AND circuit output and its output, with base of power transistor whose emitter is connected to plus conductor of voltage regulator and collector, to diode cathode and to inductance coil; diode anode is coupled with capacitor and with terminal III; second leads of inductance coil and capacitor are connected to minus conductor; regulator is physically made in the form of two units of which first one incorporates reference voltage supply using forbidden gap circuit arrangement and is disposed between battery wall and common ground of battery; reference voltage supply is provided with fourth terminal lead; second unit incorporates all remaining components of voltage regulator and is disposed in space under vehicle hood; novelty is that voltage comparator is introduced in regulator circuit, that the latter is provided with third input, and that fourth output of reference voltage supply is coupled with voltage comparator whose output is connected to AND circuit input.
