FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves using scleral coat desiccated on silica gel, wetted with physiological salt solution and dried in the air as transplant. The transplant thickness is controlled and adjusted by applying excimer laser ablation. First, the central zone of the corneoscleral coat is made thin. Then peripheral area is made thin. Each new ablation area covers previous one in catching sclera areas in succession. EFFECT: improved uniformity of transplant thickness.
