FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for enhancement of productivity of microorganisms used in food and pharmaceutical industries. Suspension of microorganisms is subjected for irradiation in spectral intervals of the nearest IR and visible range corresponding to bands absorption of molecular oxygen dissolved in the suspension. Irradiation dose is calculated by the formula: D = Do×β/f(λ) where Do = D(λo) means optimal dose of irradiation of suspension in the center λo of taken absorption band of O2; β means probability of photons adsorption in taken volume of the suspension; f(λ) means contour of absorption band of dissolved molecular oxygen being f(λo) = 1. Method allows to enhance productivity of microorganisms of different species. EFFECT: enhanced productivity of microorganisms. 3 cl, 2 tbl
