FIELD: electronic engineering; switch-mode power supplies with overcurrent protective gear. SUBSTANCE: voltage switch incorporating provision for overcurrent protection both in transients during power supply connection to load unit and under steady state conditions has electronic switch that functions to pass current to load unit through current sensor; first and second relay members connected to current sensor output and used to control flip-lop with aid of monostable multivibrator as well as AND and OR gates; flip-flop functions to turn on and off load unit power supply with aid of electronic switch. Upon occurrence of overcurrent under both transient and steady state conditions power supply is disconnected from load unit; overcurrent value making voltage switch disconnect load unit from power supply is set and controlled depending on load parameters.
