FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the method is characterized by the fact that testing is conducted in the conditions of free activity with recording of the structural characteristics of behavior: "separate", "repeated" and "repeated and N times" selection; the dynamic parameters: the mean time between the reactions, the mean time of the repeated selectional and the mean time of the selection change, according to the relationship of the structural and dynamic parameters, distribution into three typologic groups is performed, which differ by the degree of adaptobility at an action of the extreme conditions of the professional activity, the first group comprises those by whom at a reduction of the speed of reactions after the professional activity and prevalence of the search activity in the behavior one can judge of low adaptive potentialities and extreme activity, the second and third groups include people with sufficient functional reserves, the level of liability is higher than in the second group. EFFECT: provided estimation of the behavior reaction for professional selection and prediction of adaptability in the extreme situations. 6 tbl
