FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: one should hold clamp by rings with 1st and 2nd fingers of left hand, moreover, 3d , 4th and 5th fingers of the same hand are useful to simultaneously fix the first end of ligature. The second end of ligature should be fixed with 1st and 2nd fingers of right hand. One should direct the middle part of ligature under clamp's tip. Ligature is twisted through ulnar surface of 4th finger of the same hand, wrist is supinated, moreover, ligature comes onto volar surface of 3d and 4th fingers. Both 3d and 4th fingers are directed into space between clamp and the first end of ligature so, to put this end onto volar surface of 3d and 4th fingers of right hand, then one should bend these fingers, ligature's end earlier fixed with 1st and 2nd fingers of the same hand is caught and drawn to tighten the knot at clamping. Clamp is removed with the help of 1st, 2nd and 3d fingers of left hand. Knot is finally tightened. The method enables to shorten time for manipulation, decrease frequency of ligature failure.
