METHOD FOR PLASTY OF MITRAL-AORTAL CONTACT AT AORTAL-MITRAL PROSTHETICS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, cardiosurgery. SUBSTANCE: method deals with a multi-valve prosthetics at extensive intracardial lesions of supporting cardiac system due to inflammatory process. Operation is carried out from a left-hand atrioventricular access. Mitral valve is dissected by keeping the body of anterior valve and its bottom. Aortal valve is evaluated to dissect it with the part of a fibrous ring and aortal-mitral juncture. Aortal prosthesis is implanted into subcoronary position by directing ligatures and needles from inside the aorta through a fibrous ring of aortal valve and saved mitral valve into left auricle. Ligatures are tightened up. The body of mitral valve is put into area of mitral-aortal juncture. Mitral prosthesis is implanted into auricular position by suturing ligatures through its cuff from aortal valve. Both prostheses should be fixed. The method considerably decreases the volume of surgical trauma at maximal shortening the time for an open heart. EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation. 1 ex
