FIELD: equipment for spraying substance in gaseous medium, preferably, air. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has casing comprising striking device for igniting powder charge, and trunk for incorporating hermetically sealed container filled with substance to be sprayed. Container is made elastic and may be destructed. Apparatus is equipped with powder charge combustion chamber communicated with trunk channel and braking or expanding chamber positioned between combustion chamber and trunk channel. Braking chamber has end wall and peripheral openings for communicating braking chamber with trunk channel. Cutting edge is formed in trunk mouth. Apparatus may be used for spraying substantial amounts of substance for short period of time, in particular, for fire-fighting.
