SUBSTANCE: lighter has body with fuel box, valve for feeding fuel from mentioned fuel box, starting facility mounted for displacement relative to lighter body, and ignition mechanism incorporating actuating shaft; displacement of starting facility from original position along actuating shaft to operating position along mentioned longitudinal axis ensures fuel ignition by ignition mechanism; it also has operation barring mechanism intended to limit displacement of starting facility along and crosswise of mentioned actuating shaft when operation barring mechanism is in linked condition so that disengagement of mentioned operation barring mechanism allows for displacement of starting facility from original position to operating one to actuate fuel ignition mechanism.
