FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves showing flickering luminous flow of constant frequency and smoothly changing flickering amplitude into a patient vision field. First, constant luminous flow is supplied so that it acts upon the central part of the retina. Vision field is screened from disturbances causable by other luminous flows. Exposure time is 5-7 min long for achieving vision adaptation. Then, flickering luminous flow is supplied so that it acts upon the central part of the retina and is summed with constant luminous flow. Flickering amplitude is smoothly varied by increasing it from zero to a value that causes the testee to notice light flickerings. Vision fatigue degree is determined on the basis of relation binding flickering amplitude values for an eye in rest and tired states. EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements; improved comfort test conditions.
