FIELD: automotive industry; tire industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed tread is provided with great number of cutouts limited by rubber walls which are either square to or inclined relative to tread cap. Two main walls of at least one cutout located in part of tread subjected to pressing into road coating in motion are connected by at least one rubber connecting member. Total connecting surface of connecting member is equal to 80%, maximum, of surface limited by geometric contour of minimum length enclosing total connecting surface. Method includes description of peculiarities of making of cutout provided with at least one connecting member.
