FIELD: quantum electronics in glassmaking. SUBSTANCE: sol-gel glass useful in lasers based on dyes included into solid matrix is manufactured from solution containing alkoxysilane, water, alcohol, and dye, which is subjected to hydrolysis and condensation followed by drying, process being conducted in pores of microporous glass with specific pore size less than visible wavelength. In the process, ageing during 25 days at 70 C is suppressed. EFFECT: simplified process and assured stable functioning of laser using subject glass as active element. 1 dwg, 3 ex
