FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of synthetic rubbers via solution polymerization involving preparation of hexane solvents. The latter stage comprises regeneration of spent solvent, which consists in rectification separation of heavy hydrocarbons followed by purification by catalytic hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons. In the latter operation, 1-hexene is added to solvent being regenerated in amounts of 5 to 50% of the weight of solvent, whereas hydrogenation is carried out using hydrogen-containing gas, in particular electrolytic hydrogen or methane-hydrogen fraction, at 27-160 C and pressure 0.1-1.5 MPa, hydrogenation catalyst being nickel-on-kieselgur. EFFECT: achieved "polymerization purity" of solvent. 3 cl, 2 tbl, 7 ex
