FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: C6-C20-olefin fractions coming from olefin oligomerization process are subjected to liquid-phase hydrogenation in one or several parallel and/or consecutive reactors with fixed nickel-based catalyst using hydrogen- containing gas at elevated temperature and pressure, while up to 90 wt % hydrogenate is returned into initial olefin fraction. Olefin fraction and hydrogen-containing gas are fed into lower section of reactor by way of bubbling hydrogen-containing gas, whose temperature does not exceed 20 C, through olefin fraction.
