FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: method of operation of internal combustion engine comes to compressing atmospheric air by compressor to pressure providing passing of air through gas separating diaphragm, intake of compressed air enriched by oxygen, injection and combustion of fuel, expansion of combustion products and discharge of waste gases. Oxygen is taken from atmospheric air and concentration of oxygen in air getting into engine is regulated by device separating gas mixtures. With engine operating from idling to full throttling, atmospheric air gets into engine cylinders. Capacity of compressor and degree of enrichment of air getting into engine with oxygen are regulated by control unit. When maximum power output is required, control signal is transmitted from control unit to compressor providing maximum pumping of air, and clean oxygen gets into cylinders with throttle valve closed. Power plant contains chamber with gas separating diaphragm for separating oxygen from atmospheric, outlet channel connected with intake branch pipe of internal combustion engine, outlet channel to discharge separation products into atmosphere and intake channel. Plant contains also compressor installed before intake channel, control unit and throttle valve installed at inlet of intake branch pipe. Potentiometer is installed on shaft of accelerator pedal. Signals from potentiometer are transmitted to control unit which is furnished with compressor control channel.
