FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: hammer-type grinder has grinding chamber, rotor, and discharge window for returning insufficiently ground grains. Discharge window is formed in side wall of grinding chamber. Grinder is further equipped with charging bin communicated with charging window, and separating chamber made in the form of pipe inclined with respect to vertical plane in the course of rotation of rotor. Outer wall of pipe is made in the form of logarithmic spiral at junction site of pipe with grinding chamber and discharge throat to reduce air flow draft. Grinding chamber is connected to separation chamber. EFFECT: increased efficiency of separation process and reduced power consumption. 2 dwg
