FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, in particular, foundry. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing metal melt; providing two-staged refining in successively arranged first and second communicating chambers comprising intermediate vessels with discharge openings; connecting first chamber with second chamber through discharge opening of first intermediate vessel closed with melt for maintaining self-reacting medium in chambers; utilizing heat energy of independent heat sources in second chamber; feeding refined metal melt from second intermediate vessel into cooled crystallizer; obtaining metal melt in first chamber by using electric arc heating process and consumable electrodes remelting process. Method may be used for pouring any metals, including high-melting point metals and reactive metals. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities by utilizing initial remelting process heat, which is not dissipated in metal, for subsequent refining process, and reduced power consumption by using different heating sources in said chambers. 1 dwg
