FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the production of molten metal in two chambers, communicating with each other to form the skull at the point of its communication, at that in the first chamber the melt is produced by the electric arc between the upper consumable electrode and the lower electrode, located in the mould cup and clean the metal melt from the gas, light and heavy impurities, provide the transfer of the molten metal by melting the skull from the first chamber to the second chamber, in which it is adjusted by means of the electron beam heating, and the sequential drain of the purified molten metal into the mould cup. The remelting metal stock, placed into the mould cup of the first chamber without the pressing operation, is used as the lower electrode, the metal is melted into the bath during the melting time of the upper electrode in the first chamber, at its intensive mixing by means of the solenoid, to obtain the cast electrode in the mould cup of the first chamber, using as the upper consumable electrode for re-melting, then by means of the electron beam provide the fusion of the skull with formation of the drain hole and transferring of the remained molten metal into the second chamber.
EFFECT: invention allows to expand the technical capabilities of the method by reducing the energy costs, reduction of the production cycle, increasing of the metal weight during melting, as well as the reduction of the equipment size and improvement of the metal quality.
