FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing melt in intermediate spherical rotating vessel having central pouring opening; pouring melt into crystallizer. Intermediate vessel is positioned at an angle to crystallizer axis. Method may be used for casting of any metals, including refractory and reactive metals. Method provides for improved effectiveness due to increased capacity of heater since melt is arranged around heating zone to absorb the whole amount of released heat.
