FIELD: means for analyzing substances, materials, or devices. SUBSTANCE: device has divergent X-ray source and X-ray lens 1. The latter is mounted and made for entrapping part of divergent X- rays coming from source and for converting them into focused or quasi-parallel radiation. Radiating area of divergent X-rays is offset relative to X-ray lens input focus 10 so that this area occurs within spatial angle 13. The latter is formed by extensions of X-ray lens channels toward divergent X-ray source. Proposed design provides for more effective use of primary rays radiated by actual operating source whose radiating area has finite dimensions exceeding those of X-ray lens focal area in plane normal to longitudinal axis of lens. EFFECT: enhanced brightness of output radiation. 9 cl, 9 dwg
