FIELD: mobile robot systems. SUBSTANCE: mobile robot includes apparatus for moving it inside room; apparatus for detecting obstacle; control unit connected with apparatus for moving robot and with apparatus for detecting obstacle for controlling said apparatuses; apparatus for detecting current position of robot connected with control unit; power source. Apparatus for detecting current position of robot includes first scanning TV-camera for creating image of ceiling of room and for recognizing basic symbol on ceiling and first video card for processing image received from first scanning TV-camera and transmitting data to control unit. Power source is connected with control unit, it accumulates electric energy and supplies power to apparatus for moving mobile robot, to apparatus for detecting obstacle, to apparatus for detecting current position of robot and to control unit. Apparatus for detecting obstacle includes laser for irradiating linear light beam towards obstacle; second scanning TV-camera for recognizing linear light beam reflected from obstacle and second video card for processing data of second scanning TV-camera.
