FIELD: cleaning robot and cleaning system allow to detect if room cleaning is over without preliminary inlet of data (by means of user) concerning to cleaned zone and to inform user about progress of cleaning works in cleaned room.

SUBSTANCE: robot-vacuum cleaner for cleaning room at using wireless communication with device arranged outside robot includes main housing provided with suction unit for collecting dust from floor or from cleaned surface; drive unit arranged in main housing for driving several wheels; oriented upwards photo camera arranged in upper part of housing for making photos of ceiling in direction normal relative to motion direction of robot; obstacle detector mounted in front part of main housing for detecting obstacle in front of robot in direction of its motion; memory for storing data related to obstacle location; control unit that may calculate data related to obstacle position for storing them in said memory according to received signal of detecting obstacle from obstacle pickup with possibility of determining if data values stored in memory correspond to closed curve formation and with possibility of controlling drive unit of robot for moving robot along predetermined motion path. Control unit may interrupt operation of suction unit when data related to obstacle position correspond to closed curve formation. System for cleaning room includes robot-vacuum cleaner, remote control unit adapted for wireless communication with robot-vacuum cleaner and made with possibility of storing data related to obstacle position detected by means of pickup and for interrupting operation of suction unit if stored data values correspond to closed curve formation. Method for controlling robot comprises steps of determining if obstacle pickup operates during cleaning room; storing data related to position of any obstacle detected by means of pickup; determining if stored data values correspond to closed curve formation; interrupting cleaning process when stored data values correspond to closed curve formation.

EFFECT: enhanced comfort degree of using system of high operational reliability.
