FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to furnaces for low- and nonoxidizing heating of steel metal products, for instance, wire, and it can be used in metallurgical and machine- building plants. According to invention, intermediate hearth is of combination type, being made of impact load resistant material completely in holding chamber and on section of preliminarily heating chamber from end face of furnace charging to recuperator for heating of primary air, and of high heat conduction refractory ceramics on section of said chamber to chamber of final heating and completely in said chamber. EFFECT: improved stability and resistance, reduced cost of intermediate hearth of furnace. 1 dwg
